- After tooth extraction you may feel some pain, bleeding, and swelling. This is quite normal after oral surgery. Please don’t try to touch or probe the area with your tongue or fingers.
- Swelling around the face, eyes, and surgical site is common and may appear two to three days after surgery. Applying a cold compress on the face near the implant site will help reduce swelling. When using an ice pack, do not apply ice directly to your skin but place a clean cloth between the ice and your skin. You may apply the cold pack for up to 20 minutes.
- Post 24 hours of surgery, it is advised to do warm salt water rinse (approximately ½ teaspoon of salt in a glass of water) 5 to 6 times a day.
